  • Producer: Oddisee
  • Album: Mustard Mixtape

Despite residing in the City of Angels, For Your Smile emcee TiRon will always represent his hometown, Chicago. Except, actually, it's a little more complicated than that – as he explains on his latest single (a snippet of which was released back in March), he was born not in Chi-Town proper, but in the 60901 zip code, home to the little-known (unless you're a religious Letterman viewer) city of Kankakee. Over Booth-acclaimed rapper/producer Oddisee's synth/piano-driven production, the artist expresses his conflicted feelings regarding his birthplace, describing it as a depressed area where people are “too stuck to even dream” but concluding on a more positive note: “Safe to say it ain't the best place to be, but I claim it like my own, that's my city, that's my home.” If this reflective cut resonates with you, keep it locked for release details on what will likely be the best condiment-related street release of 2010, TiRon's Mustard Mixtape.
