Last year, a mysterious group by the name of TUXEDO came out of nowhere to release three tracks' worth of smooth, funky electro-pop, only to dip right back below the radar. At the time, many speculated that the crew was a collaborative endeavor from retro crooner Mayer Hawthorne and underground beatsmith Jake One, and its latest single lends support to at least half of that hypothesis. Hawthorne does indeed handle vocal duties on Do It (sans Pitbull), showcasing his always impeccable falsetto over a glossy, synth-led in-house beat. Ross Harris and Henry DiMaio join forces to direct the cut's engaging visual accompaniment. This joint isn't attached to anything larger, but we're told that a studio debut from TUXEDO is coming in 2015. Until then, stay classy—and keep your browsers locked to the Booth.
