Contrary to what the title may suggest, Vic Spencer's latest feature doesn't include any earth-shattering epiphanies about the meaning of life—none that I was able to suss out, anyway. But it isProfoundly dope, and that's all that really matters... right? On this new mixtape single, Fortified Sounds's clipped samples and grainy synth-bass set the mood as the Windy City representative boasts about his deep-seated dedication to the hustle and the destructive power of his rhymes (“My bars is the ultimate Mac Truck. / Back up before I knock you to where you can't get back up.”). Fellow Chi-town native Tree lends his raspy flow to the record's final verse, and Aaron Perkins, Jr.'s trippy visuals round out the package. Additionally, watch for the artist to contribute to our exclusive freestyles series when it resumes at the top of March.
