UPDATE: The visuals for Wale's The Body single has been added.
Let us review what we know. Wale is signed to MMG. Wale is widely respected within the hip-hop community. Wale represents D.C. all day, everyday. And Wale loves Seinfeld. While all of these facts played a role in the creation of the emcee's forthcoming, fourth studio album, none of them have anything to do with the LP's first official single, The Body. No stranger to a hit record or two, Wale recruits seasoned hook singer Jeremih, who provides a fitting guest contribution. As does Soundz, whose sensual low key production work, which samples R. Kelly's You Remind Me of Something, leaves the spotlight squarely on the featured performer. Toward the end of the first verse, the artist born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin states, "Gotta make it last, I hope you're comfortable." In the song, he is obviously speaking to a female he's with in a relationship. On a larger level, though, this line also applies to the future stock of his career. Will this radio-friendly effort be able to sustain it's pre-release buzz and lead The Album About Nothing (watch the trailer) to an announced release date before the end of the calender year? Only time will tell.
