On his last Booth feature, July’s Love Like This, singer/songwriter and beatsmith Mario Abrams received vocal support from Brooklyn R&B songstress YOBi. Fast-forward five months and the former has returned the latter’s favor, crafting an instrumental to accompany her latest promotional single. The newly-released Rich finds Abrams serving up an immersive blend of glowing synths and resonant string riffs as the headliner addresses an estranged ex-man, asking him, “Were we ever for real?” This cut isn’t attached to a larger project, but it will be available for purchase on December 11, as a single on iTunes.
