Today at the NAMM 2016 show, Denon DJ division announced their new flagship DJ controller called the MCX8000. This new monstrous DJ controller is sporting a solid metal chassis all around, dual hi-res screens for playback information, 16 RGB Backlit velocity sensitive performance pads, and full compatibility with Serato DJ when connected to a computer and Denon's Engine music management software so that DJ's can use this device without a computer.

The new Denon DJ MC4000 controller comes bundled with Serato DJ, has a great metal chassis, two microphone inputs for Mobile DJ's, and a compact footprint to easily transport and store when taking it on the go. The MC4000 is great for Mobile DJ's as its compatible with Serato DJ, VirtualDJ 8, Algoriddim, and Traktor 2.9!
Last night Serato DJ has released a new update to their flagship Software to provide additional compatibility for new products. This new Serato DJ 1.7.6 update specifically allows users to now purchase a new 24-bit Denon DS1 professional DJ soundcard for Serato Noisemap vinyl or CD control with external mixers and turntables or CD decks. Today, for the first day of the NAMM 2015 show, Denon DJ is coming out swinging! Their first release of the day is the new Denon DS1 which is a Serato DJ Digital Vinyl Interface and soundcard that will allow DJ's to connect turntables and CD decks to an analog DJ mixer for full Serato DJ playback using noisemap (timecode) vinyl or CD's. The DS1 will come bundled with Serato DJ software and two timecode vinyl & CD's for only $300 when its released in the Spring.

Last week, Denon DJ has announced the new update V.1.1.0 of their new Engine software which will make for a more enjoyable experience when using it in conjunction with the SC2900 and SC3900 Multi-Media players. Hot off the heels of the announcement, Denon has sent us a new Denon SC2900 for a full written and HD-Video review. The SC2900 is essentially the jog-wheel version of their SC3900 Multi-Media player which has an actively spinning platter with a true vinyl feel. The jog wheel has a multi-color LED ring around it to give the DJ key indicators during playback. The SC2900 has four on-board hot cue buttons, loop controls, separate start/stop adjustment knobs, Slip-Mode, and easy to use browsing controls. The Denon DJ Engine Music Management Software gets a new update with some cool new features to make using the Denon SC2900 and SC3900 an even more enjoyable experience. With the new Engine V1.1.0 software update update for PC/Mac and iOS there is also a new Firmware update for the Denon SC2900/SC3900 players which will make the user experience more fluid and accurate. Just a few short weeks ago, the folks at Serato released the new Serato DJ Software upgrade packages for the Numark Mixtrack, the Denon MC2000, and the Pioneer DDJ-Ergo. Users of these controllers can now upgrade from the bare-bones Serato DJ Intro to the full-featured Serato DJ for the cool price of $199. Serato has now released three new videos that shows each of these controllers in action with the Serato DJ software to show potential users some of the new features that come with the upgrade. The new Serato DJ software (which is basically the new replacement software for Serato Itch) now provides a true upgrade path for people who are using the low-level Serato DJ Intro software with their Digital DJ Controllers. Serato DJ Intro software has a limited number of DJ functions, but DJ that own the Numark Mixtrack, Denon MC2000, or the Pioneer DDJ-ERGO now have the option to upgrade to the full Serato DJ version with much more control over the playback options and lots more features at your fingertips.

Held once again at this year's B96 Summer Bash in Chicago, IL, this year's battle (and the nation's only 14-21 age-group DJ battle) was bigger and better than ever. Follow Celebrity Judges including DJ Flipside and DJ Mark E as they crown the champion in the finals of the 17-21 class in the video after the jump.
Denon DJ has now filled a small gap in their DJ equipment lineup by announcing the new Denon DJ MC2000 as an entry-level all-in-one Digital DJ Controller which is set to be released sometime in October in the US. This controller was already released yesterday in the UK, but we'll have to wait for our time to come on this side of the pond just as with the SC2900. The Denon DJ MC2000 is a two channel/two Deck Serato Intro DJ controller with the same faders and jog wheels from the MC6000/3000 series units. The Denon DJ SC2900 was recently announced and was on-hand at the 2012 Atlantic City DJ Expo for all DJ's to get busy on. They had a pair located right front and center and Denon was happy to give me a quick rundown video to show us what it's all about. The Denon DJ SC2900 was recently released in the UK, but we won't see this baby in the United States for another two months or so. The Denon DJ Booth had a GREAT showing at this year's 2012 Atlantic City DJ Expo at the Trump Taj Mahal hotel and casino. They had all of their controllers like the MC6000 and MC3000 on display with all flavors of software for DJ's to try them on. Also on hand was the SC3900 and SC2900 for DJ's to get the feel of.
