Well, that didn’t take long.
After earning a Gold certification in January, J. Cole‘s latest album, 4 Your Eyez Only, has officially been Platinum-certified by the RIAA.

Upon its December 2016 release, 4 Your Eyez Only debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 492k album-equivalent units, which earned Cole the third biggest first-week debut of 2016.
All four of J. Cole’s major label releases have now been certified Platinum or higher, with 4 Your Eyez Only serving as the first for his own label Dreamville (the album was distributed through Roc Nation/Interscope).
In related news, on April 15, HBO will air J. Cole: 4 Your Eyez Only, a short film co-directed by Cole and Scott Lazer. The film marks Cole’s second special on the HBO, following his 2015 homecoming concert.
