Jay Z tweets as often as Jay Electronica releases new music, which is basically never. But on Thursday evening (June 15), after being the first rapper to ever be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Hov randomly popped up on Twitter and over the course of nine tweets, shouted out 96 different rappers or rap acts who, he says, have inspired him. (Oh, and President Obama, the “greatest rapper of all-time.”)
While we still don’t know if there’s a new album coming— yes, we do, there totally is—what we do know is that Memphis Bleek is nowhere to be found (as of press time) and Kanye didn’t receive his mention until 19 other rappers filled up his character count. Oh, and Jay is deleting Twitter in the morning, so take screen shots!
