Earlier this month, Shady Records announced the signing of Compton rapper Boogie, who previously had a record contract with Shady's longtime home at Interscope Records.

On Wednesday, Boogie stopped by Sway In The Morning to discuss, among several topics, his new deal and meeting Eminem in person for the first time. Let's just say, Boogie was at a loss for words.

"It was unreal," Boogie told Sway. "I couldn't really speak the first time I met him. It was just shocking that he knew my music and it wasn't just the big songs like the shit Rihanna posted or shit like that, he actually knew my project. It was crazy."

Of course, as an interviewer himself, Sway was curious if Boogie used his time with Em to pick his brain for knowledge, but the 28-year-old didn't want to accidentally give his new label boss the chance to change his mind.

"Nah, I was too scared," Boogie said. "I'm just going to let Em talk cause I don't wanna say nothing stupid. After I met him that first time, I got more cool, though, and I was choppin' it up with him."

While he didn't issue a release date or title, Boogie confirmed that he's currently in "album mode," which he says began before the ink was dry on his deal with Shady.
