Action Bronson - The Symbol

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
The Alchemist
Album:

F**kin’ throw up on the floor sh*t! Get the cleaning lady… my bad.” It’s not often I find myself wondering whether a song will live up to its opening ad-libs, but the quip that kicks off Action Bronson‘s latest feature is so perfect it kinda scared me. Turns out I didn’t have much to worry about. I’m not sure exactly what qualifies it as “throw up on the floor sh*t,” but mixtape lead single The Symbol is as eccentrically dope as anything we’ve heard from Bronson, with The Alchemist flipping a leisurely electric-blues riff as the Flushing, Queens rhymesayer interweaves surreal boasts and fragmentary street narrative. Rik Cordero directs the official visuals, crafting an over-the-top ‘70s-cinema pastiche in the tradition of the BeastiesSabotage. Bronson’s Rare Chandeliers tape as yet lacks a drop date, but fans can stay tuned for all the latest leading up to the project’s release.
