Stories From The Brass Section EP

Anti-Lilly & Phoniks, the emcee-producer duo who brought us Rothko back in December, are back to jump-start their 2014 with another fresh single off their collaborative debut. Sharing a title with previously-featured jams from Yung Texxus and 20/20 & Poise, Blue Dream (Remix) finds Lilly trading blunted verses with Pittsburgh buzzmaker Devin Miles, backed by his behind-the-boards partner’s smoky guitar and vocal samples. This remix is slated to appear on the twosome’s Stories From the Brass Section EP, dropping digitally on January 31. (The original can be found on Lilly’s 2013 freshman set, Memoirs & the ‘90s.) Devin Miles fans should stay on the lookout for his upcoming contribution to our exclusive freestyle series.
