Atu ft. SANGO - the duo

Atu
Album:
Pictures on Silence

Some pairings are so effective that it really ain’t fair to the competition. Take Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, or Kanye and Jay-Z, for example. On collaborative debut single the duo, beatsmith Atu (a Booth newcomer) and singer SANGO (previously featured with Kinectz, a joint single with ZandSHE) demonstrate why they deserve to be mentioned alongside these overpowering twosomes. Here, the former’s ethereal, reverb-drenched synth-sample boardwork and the latter’s airy vocals collide to create a masterpiece of mood-setting alt-R&B. Fans will be able to find this headphone-ready cut and many more fresh tunes on Atu’s Pictures of Silence EP, dropping this Friday (March 22) via the artist’s Bandcamp page. All proceeds from its sale will go to international charity EveryChild, and will be used to provide assistance to impoverished denizens of rural Malawi.
