Baiyu ft. Jermaine Riley - Skip a Beat

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Grand Staff
Album:
None (Promo Single)

While most of the music featured on the Booth comes from the U.S. of A., we offer up plenty of global grooves too. Most come from or England, but there is the occasional cut from down under (New Zealand) or up top (Canada). The award for the most geographically-distant artist in recent memory, however, goes to Baiyu, who hails from Xiamen, China. Lucky for us—at the risk of sounding like a cheesy Hallmark card—love speaks all languages. On Skip a Beat, Baiyu and guest Jermaine Riley wax poetic about the feeling you get when you see that girl or guy who gives you butterflies. Backed by speedy, piano-based production from Grand Staff, Baiyu turns in an energetic, heartfelt performance, which is complemented nicely by Riley’s intoxicating, smooth vocals. This record is not attached to anything larger but, if you need more, you can check out her last Booth feature, May’s premiere of This Feeling.
