Bambu ft. Cutso - My Potnas

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Rey Resurreccion
Album:

Though the media has forgotten about Trayvon Martin, hip-hop’s best and brightest still want to talk about it. Enter Bambu. On My Potnas, Bambu paints a picture of his adolescence in Sacramento, illustrating his narrative with an interesting set of visuals and some colorful, descriptive lyrics. Though the song has a cruising, smoking vibe—thanks in part to Rey Resurreccion’s dazed, horn-centered boardwork and Custo‘s strong cuts— Bambu’s bars, delivered in a well-spoken, commanding flow, offer plenty of food for thought. My Potnas can be found on Bambu’s Sun of a Gun tape, available for free download and streaming here in The DJBooth.
