Big K.R.I.T. x ASTR - Just Last Week (Remix)

Posted 2 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
DJ 88m [of ASTR]
Album:
None (Promo Single)

One of seven fresh records released as part of the Mississippi repper’s #WeekOfKRIT series, Big K.R.I.T.‘s Lac Lac racked up more listens than any other DJBooth feature in March. In other words, the Def Jam signee’s got some serious momentum to maintain. With an eye to prolonging his current wave of positive buzz, he’s unleashed an official remix of Just Last Week, a mixtape single we originally featured back in 2013. This time around, K.R.I.T. receives assistance on both sides of the boards from NYC electronic duo ASTR. DJ 88m provides a glossy, immersive synth beat to accompany the headliner’s masterful flows, and his crewmate, Zoe, takes Future‘s place on the hook. Has this atmospheric rendition surpassed its prototype, part of last year’s King Remembered in Time LP? As always, Booth readers get to lay down the final verdict.
