There must be something in the New York drinking water—how else do you explain the sudden influx of teenage rhymesayers who sound like seasoned cats from the 1990s? The latest old-school torchbearer to emerge from the Empire State, 16-year-old Rockland County native Bishop Nehru makes his grand entrance onto our pages with the Booth-exclusive world premiere of his latest video single. Misruled Order finds the young rhymesayer trading deftly-flowed, autobiographical verses with fellow newcomer Que Hampton over a pensive piano loop by Ghost McGrady. James Tangredi teams up with Nehru to direct the joint’s official visuals. Fans will be able to find this low-key banger and much more on the artist’s Nehruvia LP, scheduled for free, digital release March 5.
