Blu & Nottz ft. Nitty Scott, MC - Boyz II Men

Posted 3 years ago

Later this month, West Coast rapper/producer Blu and Norfolk, Va. beatsmith Nottz will be joining forces to drop their debut collaborative EP. Today, we get our first taste of the project in the form of Boyz II Men, a lead single that has roughly zero to do with the ‘90s R&B group of the same name. In place of the Philly four-piece’s tender vocals and pristine slow-jam production, the cut features grimy, brass-laced boom-bap grooves and bruising, trash talk-filled bars. In between Blu’s two-fisted verses, reader fave Nitty Scott, MC grabs the mic to deliver a high-energy guest 16. Like what you’re hearing? More bangers await on the headliners’ Gods in the Spirit LP, set to drop digitally October 22. Nitty Scott fans can look forward to hearing the B.K. repper contribute to the DJBooth Freestyle Series when it relaunches in the near future.
