Bobby James ft. Tyana Reshay - Girls Love Aaliyah

The Ugly Duckling (Deluxe Ed.)

With news of Beyonce and Jay Z about to go on a stadium tour together, there’s no questioning that Mrs. Carter will be trending across social media outlets on all eight cylinders for the next eight months. But then again, when has she not? For rapper Bobby James, though, it’s still all about Aaliyah. Since his last appearance on DJBooth with Scrubs, Bobby has put his feelings on record for a certain girl he fell in love with, who may very well have been Aaliyah in her second life. Hopefully we’ll all get to experience that kind of love one day. Here he is joined by vocalist Tyana Reshay, who supplies the track’s hook and a girl’s perspective. Fellow Main Event Army member, producer Casino Crisis, does a solid job of reinventing the classic R&B production, which allows the two artists’ creativity to breathe. Girls Love Aaliyah can be found on the deluxe edition of the Raleigh, NC native’s upcoming The Ugly Duckling tape.
