Denzel Curry & Deniro Farrar - Bow Down

D.K.A.D.

Since you’re browsing the Booth, I’m going to go ahead and guess you’re sitting down, with your Internet-connected device of choice resting either on a desk or on your lap. That position just won’t do for listening to the new joint single from Denzel Curry and Deniro Farrar. Instead, you’ll want to Bow Down as low as your level of flexibility allows you to go. NYC beatsmith D.K.A.D.‘s eerie synth arpeggios and sampled gunshots set the mood as the buzzmaking emcees trade aggressive, grimy verses. Farrar’s booming flow is as attention-grabbing as ever and Curry makes an equally strong impression, managing to sound legitimately menacing while delivering some of the most ridiculous lines I’ve heard in a hot minute: “Knock Harry Potter out, hit his head on Obama’s couch… y’all n**gas is sauerkraut.” This joint isn’t attached to a larger set, but both artists have fresh projects on the way: Denzel’s Planet Shrooms mixtape, the sequel to 2013’s Nostalgia 64, is coming this year, as is Deniro’s Cliff of Death 2 LP with Blue Sky Black Death.
