Disclosure ft. Sam Smith - Latch (DJ Premier Remix)

Posted 2 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
DJ Premier
Album:
Settle Special Edition

In 2013, UK electronic group Disclosure scored an international hit with Latch, single numero uno off their debut studio album. Though we didn’t feature the cut the first time around, we couldn’t pass up this newly-released remix, which packs production by none other than DJ Premier. In place of the original’s uptempo house backdrop, the East Coast hip-hop icon crafts a more measured, atmospheric groove driven by a simple, yet effective keyboard progression. The change of aural scenery renders Nirvana crooner Sam Smith‘s falsetto-laced vocals even more seductive than before. For Primo’s remix as well as its prototype, check out the Special Edition of freshman full-length Settle, available in stores and online as of Monday.
