Dizzy Wright ft. Nikkiya - I Need Answers

Over the past week and change, we’ve heard numerous rappers weigh in on the events in Ferguson, Missouri, and their responses have been as different as the artists themselves: some feel predominantly sorrow and rage, while for others grief is mixed with excitement about the popular movement the incident has ignited. Dizzy Wright takes an emotionally-charged, yet cerebral approach to the issues of racism and police brutality on new promo single I Need Answers. Backed by AmpOnTheTrack‘s minor-key piano chords and slow-paced percussion, the Funk Volume signee challenges both the police and society at large to explain themselves, and take accountability for their actions. Booth-acclaimed songstress Nikkiya lends her vocals to the hook. This record isn’t attached to a larger set, but we’ll keep you posted on Dizzy’s plans as we learn more.
