DJBooth City Cypher Series

Before there were corporate partnerships and trending topics, before there were platinum albums and worldwide tours, before most of America even knew that hip-hop existed, there were city cyphers; emcees gathered wherever they could find space to rhyme purely for sake of rhyming. We created DJBooth‘s new City Cypher series in that spirit. For the first episode, we had to keep it NYC and set up shop on a Brooklyn rooftop. It’s just a pair of turntables, a beat from !llmind, a mic and emcees Emilio Rojas, Maffew Ragazino, Black Dave, HD and Kirk Knight grabbing their moment. Welcome to the cypher.
