Album:

A Brooklyn repper who’s won Booth acclaim for his solo output as well as his work as one-half of Tanya Morgan, Donwill has linked up with beatsmith and sometime rapper Dash Speaks to launch appropriately titled side project Donspeaks. Lead single Ape Sh*t offers a hint of the dopeness in store on the duo’s forthcoming, self-titled debut. Dash mans the boards, creating a gritty, sample-driven beat complete with an offbeat, helium-voiced hook. Don adapts his flow to the raucous, yet leisurely backdrop, urging sucker emcees to “stop monkeyin’ around” in authoritative verses. Don Speaks (the album) is slated to drop at a yet-unannounced date next month. In the meantime, of course, you can keep it locked for the latest singles.
