Eighty4 Fly ft. Neema - Go Slow

Street Survival 101 seems to be a running theme among today’s featured cuts. Earlier this morning, we heard Massachusetts rhymesayer Quite Nyce counsel enterprising hustlers to be Cautious on the freshly-released title track off his Booth-sponsored EP. On his own latest single (making its world premiere on our front page) Booth newcomer Eighty4 Fly offers listeners a related piece of advice: when in doubt, Go Slow. Yorel puts Eighty’s theory into practice on the production tip, layering hazy synth voices over a methodical rhythm section as the emcee outlines his measured approach to the hustle. By contrast, Gone emcee Neema brings a more jittery presence to the record’s back end, exhibiting an almost frantic edge as he searches for snakes in the grass: “Clap on my foes; oh you some friends? I don’t believe you. / Better get more people!” Whichever speed you prefer, this cut is the perfect soundtrack for a late-night drive through your home streets. If you like what you’re hearing, keep it locked for further bangers leading up to the release of Eighty4 Fly’s COLORS LP this summer.
