Elite ft. Bas - Do She Got a Friend Tho?

Elite
Album:

On Let Nas Down, a standout off Born Sinner, J. Cole relived the pain of getting cut down to size by one of his musical idols, flowing over a sax-laced snippet from Fela Kuti and The Afrika 40’s Gentleman. He didn’t get that loop straight from the source, though—it was a second-order sampling from an unreleased mixtape cut by Dreamsville affiliate Elite. Today, we finally get to hear the missing link in the chain. Surprisingly lighthearted in comparison to Cole’s joint, Do She Got a Friend Though? finds Elite and wingman/guest emcee Bas showcasing their game-spitting abilities as they search for a pair of lovely ladies to take home for the evening. Elite’s Level Up mixtape is set to drop digitally on Wednesday, November 20. In the meantime, fans are encouraged to check out the recently-released official visuals for Imagination Day.
