The Rolling Stones x Eminem - Mother’s Little Helper (CHEATCODE Remix)

CHEATCODE
Album:
Not Cool Til Further Notice

Back in February, Western Massachusetts beatsmith CHEATCODE introduced himself to our pages with Street Dreams (Remix), an audacious mashup which saw him infusing Nas’ ‘96 single with elements from Aerosmith’s Dream On and Frank Sinatra’s Young at Heart. For his second feature in the Booth, the producer attempts a slightly less ambitious, but equally clever cross-generational pairing, juxtaposing the sitar-esque guitar riffs of Rolling Stones single Mother’s Little Helper (whose lyrics satirically depict Nembutal abuse among housewives) with Eminem‘s verse and chorus vocals from D12 hit Purple Pills. CHEATCODE’s own trap-style hi-hats and arpeggiated synth interludes help bridge the gap between the disparate sample sources. Fans will be able to find this Frankensteinian musical creation and many more dope surprises on forthcoming album Not Cool Til Further Notice. The project as yet lacks a drop date, but we’ll keep you supplied with further details and song releases as they emerge.
