Ezko ft. Andy Gruhin, Scolla & THURZ - Wake Up

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
i.V. [of the Fresh Republic]
Album:
None (Promo Single)

If you’ve been sleeping on Ezko, consider this your Wake Up call. On this freshly-released promo single, his first feature on our pages, the Gaithersburg, Maryland native offers a glimpse into the mind of a young emcee on the make, chronicling his quest to prove the haters wrong and hit it big despite the long odds stacked against him. Joining him over i.V.‘s boardwork, a masterful flip of Smokey Robinson’s Being With You, are two Booth faves: Detroit’s Young Scolla (last featured on the solo tip with September 2012’s The Calling) lends his flow to verse two, and SoCal mainstay Thurz (fresh off bringing us promo cut GOTDAMN GOTDAMN) spits an intricate 16 on the back. D.C. singer/songwriter and DJBooth newcomer Andy Gruhin provides a guest hook. This joint isn’t part of a larger project, but we’ll keep you up to date on Ezko’s hustle in the weeks and months ahead.
