Gerald Walker ft. Cardo - The Inspiration

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Kuddie Fresh
Album:
TBD

You’ve gotta respect Gerald Walker‘s hustle. And when I say “gotta,” I’m not just speaking rhetorically; if you don’t show the proper respect, the Milwaukee representative’s going to hunt you down and force you to reconsider your position. A new single and potential inclusion on Walker’s next LP, The Inspiration finds Kuddie Fresh serving up an understated, synth-driven beat as the emcee celebrates his burgeoning movement and gives haters the brush-off. While his rhymes are largely calm and self-assured, he changes tone abruptly between verses, aggressively railing against online sh*t-talkers and other pests during the record’s “hook.” Taylor Gang affiliate Cardo assists on the guest tip. How about it, readers: does Inspiration deserve a spot on Gerald Walker’s debut full-length, Target? Debate away—and watch our pages for more fresh tunes leading up to the project’s fall release via OSAT Music/Fontana InGrooves Distribution.
