UPDATE: “No Matter” is no longer available to stream.

Summertime is always dope, but this one is shaping up to be even better.  Why, you ask? Well, along with the usual sh*t—sunshine, afternoons at the beach, beautiful people in tiny swimsuits—we’ll be enjoying new music from all of our favorite Jamla artists. Today, we’re proud to bring our readers the world premiere of entry number one in Summer of Jamla, a series which will see the label liberate a fresh single off each of its six signees’ forthcoming projects. No Matter, HaLo‘s contribution, finds the North Carolina-repping reader fave going toe-to-toe with Wu-Tang veteran Master Killa over a a soulful boom-bap beat by Amp. Rocki Evans, the gifted vocalist behind CharlieRED, lends his sparkling falsetto to the joint’s chorus, as well as handling verse one. This breezy, nocturnal banger is slated to appear on HaLo’s Mansa Musa LP, which as yet lacks a drop date. Watch our pages for release details on the project, as well as future Summer of Jamla song releases.
