Oft imitated but never equaled, the DJBooth Freestyle Series ran from February 2009 through June 2011. Its 250 total entries were the work of a veritable who’s-who of underground and emerging emcees, including rising stars like Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. Now, it’s back for a second round. The eighth entry in the recently-relaunched series comes courtesy of Ibn Inglor, the Chicago buzzmaker who brought us BLACK PRINT back in September. On ICE, Elanexus‘s menacing original boardwork backs the unsigned rhymesayer as he celebrates his successes in the game and lets loose at his competition in deft, aggressive bars. Inglor has yet to reveal his plans for the new year, but those craving more are encouraged to check out his DJBooth-hosted 2013 projects, GawdsSpeed and New Wave.
