India Shawn - Sinking In

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
John Key
Album:
ORIGIN

It might be her first appearance at The DJBooth, but singer/songwriter India Shawn isn’t shy about sharing her innermost thoughts. On Sinking In, an introspective, mellow tune from her November-released album, the Atlanta product lets her boo know that despite her tendency to keep her guard up, they have found a way through her armor. John Key’s production fits the song perfectly; it is soft and emotional (the melody follows Canadian folk group Crash Test Dummies classic Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm) and works well as a compliment to Shawn’s vocals, which power the track from beginning to end. For more soulful cuts, we recommend purchasing ORIGIN via Shawn’s Bandcamp.
