Monster

Whether you’re a Wall Street trader sweating to sell pork futures or a corner hustler sweating to sell your package, a 9-to-5er hustling to finish that big PowerPoint presentation or a rapper hustling to land that next show, we all have one thing in common: we’re all stressed the f**k out. In fact, sometimes things get so hectic we can forget to Breathe – thankfully Iron Solomon’s here to issue a much needed reminder to get our respiration on. Set over production from the headline himself and frequent co-producer Isaiah that’s driven by a sharp drum line but still fittingly leaves plenty of room for the Redrum Radio emcee to breathe bars that detail his struggle to retain his sanity, and his commitment to family, while also chasing the hip-hop dream: “Baby sister growin up, I ain’t around to show here stuff…gas bill overdue, headin for the coldest months.” So hey, just for a moment turn off the cell phone, shut down the laptop, press play, inhale, exhale and just listen – I’m pretty sure you could use a moment. Breathe is the latest from Solomon’s upcoming Monster album, due out March 27.
