With anticipation mounting for the release of his sophomore set later this month, J. Cole has liberated another fresh single off the project. On this soulful, co-produced selection with Elite, the artist reveals why he hasn’t straightened his grill to match his peers in the entertainment industry: his Crooked Smile serves as a constant reminder of where he came from, and an emblem of his continued commitment to keeping it real. Along with Cole’s characteristically candid, engaging bars, this joint boasts guest vocals from a pair of R&B/pop legends; Chilli and T-Boz of hitmaking ‘90s trio TLC support the headliner throughout his verses, taking center stage on the record’s sing-along chorus. For Teeth, last week’s reader-acclaimed N*ggaz Know and much more, cop Born Sinner when it hits record stores and online retailers June 18, via Roc Nation/Columbia Records.
