Joey Bada$$ ft. Maverick Sabre - My Yout (Remix)

Posted 2 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Chuck Strangers
Album:
Summer Knights EP

Ever since my ears came across his unique vocals about a year ago, I have been waiting for an emcee to harness the power of a Maverick Sabre guest spot. Looks like Joey BadA$$ won the Sabre sweepstakes because on My Yout (Remix), a refreshing new take on a record that was released in July, the Pro.Era leader invites Maverick to create a scratchy, intoxicating hook that jives well with the reggae undertones of producer Chuck Strangers’ headnodic beat. Though his raspy flow doesn’t immediately make you think reggae, the New York native has a subtle bounce in his flow that works near-perfectly. My Yout (Remix) is one of two unreleased cuts that will appear on digital retail version of BadA$$’ Summer Knights EP, due out this week.
