Josh Xantus ft. Termanology - Car Fight

Posted 2 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Statik Selektah

When I read the title off Josh Xantus‘s latest single and peeped the promo pic, I immediately envisioned some sort of demolition derby. Alas, Car Fight is unlikely to make it onto the soundtrack of a future Twisted Metal game; it’s about the indie crooner and his girl fighting in a car, not literal cars fighting. That aside, there’s a lot to like about this joint, from Xantus’s relatable verses to Statik Selektah‘s ear-pleasing, Chipmunk-sampled instrumental. Stat’s Boston neighbor, Termanology, even grabs the mic to spit an indignant guest 16 on the back. Car Fight isn’t part of a larger project, but fans are encouraged to check out the artist’s last feature, 2012’s Love Games.
