K. Sparks ft. Tina Quallo - Ghetto Child

Manic Mondays (#23)

Few rappers can match K. Sparks when it comes to intensity, and last week’s F*ck Outta Here found the South Jamaica, Queens emcee turning in some of his most blistering verses to date in an all-out assault on hater-dom.  With his skeptics silenced, Sparks seems to have mellowed out a bit; on Manic Monday number 23,  he joins forces with labelmate Tina Quallo (his collaborator on Movin’ On and Never) to tell the story of how he grew from a Ghetto Child into one of the rap game’s most ambitious up-and-comers.  Cartel’s sampled beat, which features the smooth sounds of jazz saxophonist Bea Bell, provides a nostalgia-laden old-school backdrop as Sparks lets his storytelling skills shine.  Can’t wait till next week to hear more new material from K. Sparks?  Tune in this Thursday, when he steps into the Booth for our brand new exclusive freestyle series
