Kahali Oden - All Praises Due

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Carl Roe
Album:
None (Promo Single)

Kahali Oden‘s last Booth feature, A Letter to My Kids, found the West Coast rhymesayer sharing a few hard-won pearls of wisdom in the wake of his new baby daughter’s birth. All the sage advice in the world, however, can’t protect children from events like the recent school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Shaken to his core by last Friday’s tragedy, the rapper formerly known as Mean Doe Green has channeled his anger, grief and frustration into a brand new promo single, making its world premiere in the Booth. On All Praises Due, the artist sends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, reflects on the social forces that give rise to mass killings, and prays for the Lord to shelter his family from the violence of the world around him. Fellow Booth regular Carl Roe provides a soul-sampled instrumental backdrop for his bars. While Praises won’t be part of any forthcoming project, fans can watch the our pages for further details on Oden’s as yet unscheduled studio album, It Ain’t My Fault.
