At the bottom of June, we saw Scion A/V come together with Southern emcee Scotty ATL to drop the reader-acclaimed OTR2SJ. Just over a month later, they’ve already forged a partnership with another promising rap buzzmaker—namely, 19-year-old Windy City repper Kembe X. Single numero uno off his upcoming, self-titled EP, the newly-released As I Unfold finds Kembe flexing his lyrical muscles over the bluesy keyboard loops and bass-booming percussion of Blended Babies. As if the headliner’s fast-paced flows weren’t enough, TDE lyricist Ab-Soul provides an agile guest 16, and Chi-Town buzzmaker Alex Wiley ties the package together with a sung guest hook. The Kembe X EP is slated to drop for free streaming and download Tuesday, August 19. Additionally, an official video for this single will debut before month’s end.
