Keyshia Cole ft. Juicy J - Rick James

Posted 2 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
1st Born, Donut
Album:

Last we heard from Keyshia Cole, the Californian-born R&B songstress was addressing female fans Woman to Woman on a 2012 full-length. Two years down the line, her attitude toward her gender has changed significantly—and not for the better. On this newly-released single, she lets us know that she’s ready and willing to “slap a b*tch like Rick James.” The impetus behind her hostility is, none too surprisingly, jealousy over a man. Over co-producers 1st Born and Donut‘s phased synths and rhythmic piano chords, the Geffen songstress bitterly addresses a guy who spurned her love, assuring him that he ain’t about to find someone better. Juicy J echoes her sentiments in an engaging closing 16, as well as contributing ad-libs throughout the cut. Cole’s sixth studio album has yet to receive either a title or a drop date, but we’ll keep you posted on the set as more information is revealed.
