Kobi Onyame ft. Jamie Sellers - Dreams

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
Jamie Sellers
Album:
Green Green Grasses

While being an up-and-coming Hip-Hop artist may seem like it’s all peaches and cream from the outside, the harsh reality is that it couldn’t be more different from the inside. With that said, it’s always great to hear the success stories of indy Hip-Hop artists. Thanks to DJBooth newcomer Kobi Onyame and the music video for his single Dreams we are treated to just that. The visual takes viewers on a four minute long journey as Kobi details all the highlights of his music career thus far, from newspaper blurbs to seeing his name on billboards and all the proud moments in between. Aside from the accent you’ll also notice that Kobi has a knack for creativity on Dreams. I know I’ll be adding Kobi’s, “I’m like a broken PS3 you can’t play with me” to my growing list of “Rap Phrases To Be Used While Impressing Friends.” Jamie Sellers pulls double duty on Dreams, providing the song with both its production and catchy hook. Dreams is featured on Kobi’s Green Green Grasses album, which is currently available on iTunes.
