Artist: Locksmith
Track: House Of Games [Freestyle]
Producer: Locksmith, Mike Blankenship
Album: None (Promo Single)

Don’t let the title fool you: Locksmith ain’t playing. Those who go into House of Games expecting a lighthearted good time will quickly be disabused of that notion, thanks to the intro’s eerie piano arpeggios as well as the barrage of disturbing imagery (drawn from A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Lost Highway and other cinema classics) that opens Lock and Brian Storm‘s official video. The aggressive bars the West Coast buzzmaker delivers here, backed by his and Mike Blankenship‘s ominous boom-bap grooves, further cement the impression that this cut is serious business. Nominally a freestyle, House of Games won’t be appearing on a larger project, but Locksmith is currently putting the finishing touches on a new project titled A Thousand Cuts. While you wait for further details, why not take a(nother) listen to his Booth-hosted 2013 street album, The Green Box?
