Lungz - Paper on My Mind

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
ENG
Album:
None (Promo Single)

Last we heard from Lungz, on a late-March EP single, the success of the Windy City repper’s hustle had him shouting, “Oh Boy!” While Booth readers weren’t quite so enthused, he didn’t let that joint’s lukewarm reception discourage him; he was too focused on his finances to give a damn. On new single Paper on My Mind, the spitter emphasizes that accumulating currency isn’t just at the top of his priority list, it is his priority list. As the rhymesayer chronicles his ceaseless pursuit of the Almighty Dollar, producer ENG serves up an addictive beat driven by slow-rolling trap percussion and majestic string loops. This hustle anthem isn’t attached to any larger project but, given Lungz’ nose-to-the-grindstone philosophy, it’s just a matter of time before he steps into the Booth with more fresh music.
