Lyric Jones ft. Aleon Craft & Playboy Tre - Gotta Go

Posted 5 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Raydar Ellis
Album:
Jones St.

Making her DJBooth debut, Atlanta representer Lyric Jones gives us a proper introduction and then decides that she’s Gotta Go with ATL running mates/DJBooth veterans, Aleon Craft and Playboy Tre. The second single off of her upcoming LP, Jones St., Gotta Go features a Raydar Ellis-produced beat and a soulful hook that gives the song a very slow, southern feel. Lyrically, all of the emcees work very well together, come correct on the mic and go hard over the mellow beat, but it is Jones takes center stage, showing that she can rap alongside anyone with lines like, “Takin’ a whoop down memory lane, play the game but I never keep the story the same.” Gotta Go gives us a good taste of what to expect from Lyric Jones’ forthcoming Jones St. LP, which is set to drop on September 23.
