Years before Tosh.0 and Aziz Ansari stormed the scene, the infamous Richard Pryor dominated the comedy world. While you might be familiar with the stand-up pioneer, you may not know that the comedian once set himself ablaze with 151-proof rum during a freebasing attempt. Elementality Productions emcee MadKem’s new single Pryor On Fire (a.k.a. Freebase) references this incident on his new single, a record that some might find to be just as hot. Donning a speedy flow with a touch of rawness, Kem and Justin Bates, who uses a style similar to the headliner, ignite the track with the help of producer DroP Beats’ crisp production. Pryor On Fire (a.k.a. Freebase) is the second single off of MadKem’s Kola La Vie EP out, which will be out digitally on February 19.  A full, LP version of the project will follow sometime this spring.
