Mathien - You’ve Made a Stone Out of Me

Album:
Unique Man

In between his last appearance on DJBooth with Shine and today, independent Chicago singer/songwriter and producer Mathien has been looking to go from a stone of a man to the vulnerable, caring individual that he used to be. Thus, the birth of his upbeat new record, You’ve Made a Stone Out of Me. Mathien wants to make sure that his numbness, stemming from a variety of outside problems, doesn’t make him unconscious of necessary life emotions like fear. It may be a cycle for him, but the catharsis is worth it every time. The independent muse, who is headed to Nashville in the immediate future, will eventually follow up this first single with a full body of work, the Unique Man album, on June 17.
