Meyhem Lauren x Buckwild ft. Troy Ave & RetcH - Street Hop

A word to the wise: This ain’t rapping. It’s street hop. It’s the kind of music that puts the stank face on your mug while you head nod. And who better to create that atmosphere than Meyhem Lauren and producer Buckwild? For their latest single, Street Hop, the two NYC artists enlist special guests Troy Ave and RetcH to bring their streets into your home. Don’t look at the record as just a cross between the old and new schools, but rather as different representations of the street hop lifestyles—the glorified side of drug dealing, super fly stunting, and the ugly side of drug dealing. The jazzy production from Buckwild bring the streets to life thanks to well-executed Boom bap drums. Street Hop will be included on Meyhem’s and Buck’s upcoming album, Silk Pyramids, due out May 27, via Thrice Great/Chambermusik Records.
