Last we heard from M.i, on the inaugural leak off his forthcoming mixtape, he was looking forward to his Imminent takeover of the game, with all the money, power and fame that entails. Much as the artist plans on enjoying his big break, worldly success won’t mean anything to the Austin representative without spiritual peace. On project lead single Church West Texas, the artist spits candidly about his relationship with the Man Upstairs, backed by project collaborator Tyler Keyes’ quietly intense sample work. Fresh off the release of his York LP, Cali rapper/producer Blu speaks on his own faith in a tightly-wound middle verse. Pushing Keyes is scheduled for digital release May 16. Watch for the set’s next single, the Chamillionaire-assisted Nothing You Can Do, to hit the ‘net Monday, April 15.
