MIKA ft. Pharrell Williams - Celebrate

Posted 4 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Nick Littlemore and Pharrell Williams
Album:
The Origin of Love

As a kid I would watch Pinky & The Brain repeatedly plot to take over the world. Although their intentions were (hilariously) negative, there are some folks out there who if they had control of the world would surely use their power in a positive manner. One of them is today’s featured artist MIKA, who simply wants the whole world to Celebrate. Doesn’t seem like a daunting task, does it? On his first video feature at The DJBooth, the British singer enlists Nick Littlemore and Pharrell Williams to help out with the production as well as the latter providing some additional vocals to the record, with the end result yielding a synth-heavy pop, yet head-nodding, sound that allows MIKA to blossom. Taking the helm of the track’s direction, MIKA’s message is clear - he simply wants the whole world to, well, Celebrate. The single was released in June, on iTunes in France, and it is the first from his upcoming album, The Origin of Love, due out in the fall of 2012.
