Mod Sun - MushrooMS

Posted about 2 years ago
Producer:
Mod Sun, Pat Brown
Album:
Hippy Hop

There’s a thin line separating brilliance and insanity. Mod Sun‘s friends seem to think he’s crossed over from the former to the latter, and after a listen to new single MushrooMS I can see why. Over his and Pat Brown‘s leisurely electronic beat, the Minneapolis pop buzzmaker expresses paranoia, confusion regarding the nature of reality, and a stubborn belief that he himself is a member of the fungus family. The artist-directed visuals have a similarly trippy vibe. Is there a method to Mod’s madness? I’ll let y’all be the judge. Regardless, you’ll be able to find this offbeat jam and much more on his upcoming Hippy Hop LP, due out digitally in the near future.
