Mos Def - Life in Marvelous Times

Posted 7 years ago
Producer:
Mr. Flash
Album:
The Ecstatic

For those unfamiliar with the musical résumé  of Mos Def, we suggest you check out his legendary work on Black on Both Sides, which provides all the introduction Booth-heads should need.  On February 10, 2009, this talented emcee will return with his fourth solo album, The Ecstatic.  On the project’s first single, Mos paints a visual picture of Brooklyn, New York, in 1982, complete with all the low-level apartments, street scuffles, and love lost that, to the artist born Dante Smith, add up to Life in Marvelous Times.  To match his classic lyricism, producer Mr. Flash supplies a beat that screams “epic” – fitting for a comeback record that fans have been longing for.  Check back with the Booth over the next three months for more Ecstatic features and an exclusive interview.
